Holistic Practice Statement: My interdisciplinary practice moves between the studio and the communities that shape it. Alongside making artworks rooted in ecology, folklore, queerness, and rural life, I develop projects and long-term cultural infrastructure that create spaces for artists to gather, exchange ideas, and imagine alternative ways of working together.
Over the past decade, my cultural practice has included founding Venison Magazine, an online arts quarterly (2014–2017); co-leading The Alternative Art School's international learning community(2020-current); curating exhibitions including Chosen Families (2024); co-authoring Cross-Pollinating Worlds: A Dialogue on Rurality, Ecology, and Cultural Practice with Kate Bowen through Independent Curators International (2025); and developing the Ozark Storytelling Residency, a partnership between Mount Sequoyah and The Alternative Art School (2026). Though each project takes a different form, they share a commitment to belonging, cross-cultural exchange, and alternative ways of building artistic communities.
